Project Summary

The customer developed a new type of aluminum alloy swing door for cleanroom. Original cast iron hinges were heavy, rust-prone and unsmooth to open; standard aluminum hinges on market had large gaps and insufficient load capacity, failing airtight standard. We customized split lift-off hinges with 6063 aluminum alloy, optimized spindle structure, adopted CNC precision milling & matte anodizing. The final product features light weight, reliable load-bearing, smooth rotation and dust/corrosion resistance, matching long-term cleanroom operation with stable mass delivery.

Core Pain Points

Cast iron hinges add door sag risk, easy to rust in humid cleanroom environment

Stamped standard hinges have offset holes & burrs, uneven assembly gaps breaking airtightness

No wear-resistant spindle buffer, causing noise & loose after frequent opening, high maintenance cost

Ordinary anodizing delivers poor surface texture, inconsistent with high-end clean door appearance

3.1 Material Selection

Main body uses 6063-T5 extruded aluminum alloy with balanced strength, light weight and uniform anodizing effect. 45# quenched steel spindle + PTFE wear-resistant washer ensures load capacity & smooth rotation. Weight reduced by 60% vs cast iron, meeting anti-corrosion & lightweight demands for cleanrooms.

3.2 Structure & Drawing Optimization

  1. Split lift-off design allows door disassembly & height adjustment to compensate installation tolerance
  2. Thickened base plate & reinforcing ribs improve bending resistance, avoid long-term deformation
  3. Symmetric optimized mounting holes ensure coaxiality of multiple hinges, eliminate door gap deviation
  4. Circular wear washer on spindle reduces metal friction noise & extend service life
